Measuring it by hand only gets you so far. Complex curves, internal features and fine detail don't come off a set of callipers accurately, and every extra hour spent measuring is an hour the part isn't back in service. If it's faster to scan it than to measure it, this is the job for us.

How we scan and plan your project
We come to you — your workshop or your site — so the part never has to be removed, shipped or dismantled to get an accurate capture. Sometimes it's not an existing part we're reproducing at all, but a new one we're designing to fit existing conditions, like a modification to an old conveyor or a replacement guard on equipment that was never drawn up in the first place. Either way, the process starts the same way.
Step 1 — Scope the part or the problem
We confirm scope, access and any site inductions in advance. You tell us what the data needs to do. We plan scan positions around it.
Step 2 — Scan on location
We scan the part, and where relevant, the surrounding structure or equipment it has to fit — so a new or modified component is designed against real, measured conditions, not assumptions. No need to remove the part or shut anything down longer than the capture takes.
Step 3 — Model to fit
The CAD model is built directly from the scan data, including design intent where a part is worn or damaged and needs reconstructing rather than copying as-is.
Step 4 — Verify and deliver
The finished model is checked back against the scan before it leaves our hands, so what you receive is accurate to the part and the site it has to work with.
